Skin Care You Can Believe In
At Mokosh, we’re serious about creating skin care that works wonders for your skin while being considerate to our planet - and the plants and animals we share it with.
As part of our commitment, we have invested time, money, and effort to ensure our claims can be independently verified, because we aren’t into greenwashing, and if you’ve made it to this page, our guess is you aren’t either!
NASAA Certified Organic
Our products have been certified organic with NASAA (National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia) since 2012. All products contain 100% certified organic ingredients. We believe a shift towards organic agriculture will play an important part in the healing of our planet’s fragile ecosystems. At the same time, choosing organic food and skin care products will also help reduce the toxic load on our bodies and our planet.

Certified Palm Oil Free
All our products are certified palm oil free with Orangutan Alliance, an independent, non-profit organisation promoting reduced palm oil use in consumer products through their palm oil free certification program.
Palm oil cultivation requires the clearing of valuable ecosystems, resulting in habitat loss for vulnerable species and significant greenhouse emissions. Palm oil is added to most packaged foods, and is a hidden ingredient in virtually all skin care products. Our unique formulations allow us to keep our products completely palm oil free.

Made in Australia
Mokosh products are handcrafted in small batches in our studio in Fremantle, Western Australia.
All Mokosh products are produced in accordance with SGS ISO 22716, an internationally recognised Good Manufacturing Practice certification for the manufacture of skin care products. This certification is a guarantee that all our products are manufactured to the highest possible standard.

Traceable, From the Source to Your Skin
Our use of certified organic ingredients means every element of our supply chain is traceable: from producers to processors, retailers, and input suppliers. This level of traceability is a requirement of the Australian National Standard for Organic and Biodynamic Produce (National Standard), and it’s one we proudly uphold.
Each ingredient that touches your skin has been cultivated and handled with care by suppliers who have met rigorous environmental and documentation standards. We know exactly where every ingredient comes from, how it was grown, and how it arrived in our hands. Nothing hidden, nothing compromised.
Fair Trade Ingredients
We source our raw materials with care, prioritising both environmental and social responsibility.
All certified organic ingredients include a social justice component, ensuring fair wages and ethical working conditions (as outlined in the National Standard).
Furthermore, we purchase all our coconut oil, shea butter, and cacao butter from certified fair trade suppliers. Fair trade certification means that the people involved in harvesting and processing these ingredients, in many cases women, received a fair price for their work. It also prohibits child labour, promotes gender equality and child education, and supports sustainable farming practices.

Botanical and Vegan-Friendly
Neither our final products nor our raw ingredients are tested on animals, as certified by NASAA.
We do not use any animal derived ingredients, except for certified organic beeswax, which can be found in only two formulas: Coconut & Blackcurrant Lip Balm and our Pure Body Balm.
Supporting Reforestation
We purchase trees for our Plant-A-Tree Campaign through Carbon Neutral. Trees are planted in a biodiversity hotspot in Western Australia, known as the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor.
They restore the natural landscape and reconnect habitats. Eventually, the plantings will form a 200km corridor from inland to the coast.

Zero Waste Packaging
All elements of our packaging, including the plastic, can be reused, composted or recycled.
We run a reply-paid container return scheme to make this process easier. Through this system we sterilise and reuse glass jars and pay to have plastic components recycled with Terracycle.
