From the very beginning, we set out to create a brand that gives back — to people, to animals, and to the planet. Our giving is driven by the same principles that guide our formulations: care, integrity, and respect for life in all its forms. 

Every product you choose from Mokosh contributes to causes that matter  — from supporting education for girls, to restoring native forests, and strengthening communities near and far.

Supporting Girls' Education

We’ve proudly partnered with One Girl, an Australian charity that empowers girls through education in Sierra Leone and Uganda, since 2016. Every year, we donate a portion of our profits to help fund their scholarships, provide school supplies, and support community-based programs. Educating girls is one of the most powerful ways to reduce poverty and improve the health and wellbeing of entire communities. It’s a cause close to our hearts and those of our customers.

We’ve raised over $9000 and counting for the One Girl charity.

Reforestation and Climate Action

We recognise the critical importance of restoring native vegetation to combat climate change, preserve biodiversity, and create a sustainable future for generations to come. Through our Plant-A-Tree campaign, we contribute to reforestation efforts by donating funds to plant native trees in degraded areas. This initiative not only sequesters carbon but also rejuvenates ecosystems, providing habitat for wildlife and improving soil health. 

We pay to have one tree planted with every order of $100 or more.

Our donations have helped plant over 7700 trees so far — and we’re just getting started.

Reuse, Reduce, Reimagine

As part of our commitment to circularity and waste reduction, we have developed a Container Return Scheme that gives our skin care packaging a second life. You can return clean Mokosh glass jars to us, free of charge, and we will sterilise and reuse them — diverting packaging from landfill and conserving resources. 

You can also return jar lids, bottle pumps and droppers - which we pay to have recycled with Terracycle.

It’s a small action with a big ripple effect, and one more way we’re working toward a truly sustainable skin care model.

Causes We've Helped Support

Over the years, we’ve proudly supported many grassroots and global initiatives that reflect our values: protecting the vulnerable, championing environmental justice, and uplifting communities in need. Including:

  • Asylum Seeker Support – Contributed to Amnesty International’s Freedom from Fences campaign, helping provide legal, medical and mental health support to people in Australian detention centres.
  • Protecting Organic Farming – Backed a national fundraiser to support organic farmer Steve Marsh in his landmark legal battle to defend non-GMO agriculture in Australia.
  • Women’s Empowerment – Created Gratitude Soap as a dedicated fundraiser for One Girl, deepening our support for girls’ education through a product with purpose.
  • HIV Community Care – Donated organic soap for three consecutive years to Living Positive Victoria’s Christmas hamper appeal, supporting individuals living with HIV.
  • Wildlife Conservation – Partnered with The Orangutan Project as a Green Sponsor over several years, helping protect rainforests and endangered species in Borneo and Sumatra.
  • Childhood Education in India – Contributed supplies and support to Nav Jagriti, a grassroots organisation providing access to education for children living in Delhi’s slums.
  • Humanitarian Aid – Supported the Red Cross Nepal Region Earthquake Appeal in the wake of the 2015 earthquake, aiding emergency relief efforts.
  • Ranger Protection – Funded life-saving support for frontline conservationists through The Thin Green Line Foundation, which protects park rangers working in high-risk regions.
