How can this balm do so much?

Beeswax is an incredible ingredient with antimicrobial properties and antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. It has been used for hundreds of years in ancient Egypt and Rome, as well as in Ayurvedic medicine, to create ointments to treat burns, skin wounds and other skin conditions.

Modern studies have found that creams including beeswax are more effective at relieving inflammation, skin scaling, and skin cracks and result in better skin condition and improved barrier integrity than commercial moisturisers containing urea and other traditional barrier ingredients.

We made our Pure Body Balm by blending some of our most precious, healing butters and oils with certified organic beeswax to augment and diversify its healing properties. We included cacao butter, shea butter, macadamia oil and avocado oil, which add to the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory profile, as well as coconut oil for its antimicrobial properties, and jojoba oil for its skin barrier improving benefits.

Zero Waste
Glass jar - recycle with your local council or, if in good condition (no cracks or chips) return it to us free of charge or to a participating store to be refilled as part of our Container Return Scheme.
Lid - return to us or to a participating store as part of our Container Return Scheme and we will pay to have it recycled with Terracycle.
Paper labels - remove by soaking in water, and add to your compostable waste.
